Daycare
Day-dreams
of play buddies become a reality at daycare. The answer for
dogs bored at home all day or for the dog who has butt loads of
energy-you know the ones: the couch eater, the shoe eater, the wall
eater.......
We
don't believe in separating dogs based on size here. Wait, wait,
wait...don't let that scare you! Here is our reasoning:
- First
off, you don't separate children based on size so why in the heck
separate dogs?? I mean, they ARE the same species and all.
- Secondly,
(if you have a small dog you will know what I'm talking about here) most
small dogs DON'T KNOW THEY ARE SMALL! Most of the littles love to
play with the big pups because, well, they think they are big.
- Thirdly,
there are lots of big dogs that love to play with the little dogs. In
fact, there are some big dogs that will ONLY play with the littles.
- And
lastly, how are little dogs going to learn to not be afraid of the big
dogs, and how are big dogs going to learn that the little dogs aren't
little squeeky toys if they never get to interact with each other?
All
that said, we have one large play area. It's almost 4000 square feet
of space for them to run their fool heads off. It seriously is a dog
party here (we even have some wall flowers). Pups have access to an
outside potty area, too!
Our
floor is sporting 3/4" solid rubber. What's the big deal, you ask?
Solid rubber flooring helps cushion and there is less chance of knee
and hip injuries. Other daycares have cement (would you want to run
and play on cement every day?).
We
are all about getting your dog tired when they are here. There aren't
many rules for them to follow...well we don't allow them to take bites
out of each other, and I tell them often, "I am not a
trampoline"....I don't ask them sit and behave...I mean, they are here
to get TIRED right?? So don't be surprised if your normally well-behaved dog acts like a crazy butt when he/she comes.....why?? BECAUSE
THEY CAN!
Only
pups with good sandbox skills will be admitted. Every single pup has
to come in for a day of daycare to be tested. We need to make sure
they can handle club crazy and all :)
All
pups must be vaccinated, on a flea control program, and because we are
not a dating service, we would like all dogs to be spayed or neutered by the age of 7 months-but we don't require it (we'll take it on a case-by-case basis).
If
you are interested in daycare call us for an appointment to get your pup tested.
As we enter the summer, test days/times will fill up fast! We can only do 8-10 per week. Because of the high number of appointment 'no show's', we are now requiring you to pre-pay for your test day. If you are unable to make your appointment call and re-schedule. Pre-paid test days are non refundable.
